Health and Safety
South Africa’s many non-governmental organisations are places of hope for society’s disadvantaged. It is common knowledge that many, or most, of these establishment largely rely on private sector funding.
Choosing just a few initiatives to support was not an easy task, but we are proud to have associations with the following organisations:
Family Africa Foundation
The Family Africa Foundation runs HIV/AIDS projects in Diepsloot. Tracker assists this organisation with monetary donations and any form of support from Tracker staff.
Bethlehem Centre for the disabled
Phedisang Bana Rearabetswe is a home to over 30 children and adults with mental and physical disabilities. The Bethlehem Centre for the Disabled is supported by Tracker on many levels. Our staff donate their time as well as any support that the home may need, and Tracker has assisted with monetary donations. Since 2006, Tracker has been assisting the centre with monthly financial support for their daily needs and upkeep. In 2008 Tracker donated a Mercedes Benz 17-seater bus to the centre, which is used to transport the children from their homes to the centre, as well as other educational trips they may deem fit.
Nanga Vhutshilo positive living
Based in Soweto, Nanga Vhutshilo Positive Living is a community based HIV and AIDS support programme which provides food and other services to over 300 children who are HIV positive or have been affected by the pandemic in some way. Tracker has made a monetary donation to the organisation, and this was used for food parcels, school fees, counselling and lunch money for high school learners.
