Community Safety - A Necessity
While community safety might not be a reality for many South African neighbourhoods, we at Tracker believe it is a necessity, a goal which we continuously strive to achieve in all that we do.
This means investing in initiatives which have a direct influence in the upliftment of communities, where the positive results are tangible. Some of our Community Safety initiatives include:

Township Basketball Courts
One of the best ways to address crime is to draw youth into healthy activities which keep them away from crime. This is the clear objective of our Township Basketball Courts project.
Launched in 2006 in Tembisa with just 10 basketball courts, this project has grown phenomenally and there are now 19 Tracker basketball courts across South Africa, including Limpopo, Mpumalanga and
the Free State. Each community has fully embraced this initiative, and you will find youngsters playing on the courts during the day and in the early evening.
This project will continue to grow during the course of 2009, and we look forward to introducing more communities to the game of basketball.
